Open Chole

Post a new topicby LDeVita on Wed Nov 05, 2008 6:50 pm

I am a medical student in need of information. I was able to watch an open chole with very large and inflammed GB. During the procedure the surgeons could not differentiate the cystic duct from the GB to the CBD so a "stump" was left that included a portion of the GB and the duct that was coming from it, does anyone know what this type of maneuver/technique is called?
Thank you in advance,
Lauren
