Colon Resection

I ended up in Emergency and was admitted. They did the colonoscopy and verified that I needed immediate surgery.
I drank the most horrific, huge glass of enema pre-op. Had the surgery and they removed the sigmoid, rectum and some of the colon (open surgery) and put in a temporary stoma (colostomy).
I went back in for reattachment surgery in 6 months. Everything went as planned and I recovered easily.
