Colon Resection

I had a laparascopic sigmoid colectomey 4 days ago for bowel obstruction. Went home yesterday although I had not had a BM but had been passing gas. Had first BM last night - was loose but when when I wiped, there was dark blood on the toilet paper. I am not bleeding actively, but when I wipe, it is dark red. Any thoughts?

My first couple of bowel movements after suregery had some dark blood which my surgeon said would happen. He warned me of bright blood which is happening now. My anastamosis is ulcerating and bleeding.
