Colon Resection

To make a long story short, I had 2ft of colon, my appendix, a 10cm tumor, 2 lymph glands and some fatty tissue removed on July 16th. My question is will I every be normal again and how long? I have frequent BM's on most days (after I eat) but some days I have nothing then get abdominal pain and bloating. I take milk of magnesia to get things going again but I am not sure all the pain and stuff is "normal" :( I start chemo on 8-24 and was wondering if what I was feeling was "normal"???? I am sure there will be many more abnormal days ahead but it would be nice to go into them without the worry.
