On Dec. 28, my husband went in for a routine colonoscopy. He never left the hospital and 3 days later had surgery. He has diverticulus and the diverticulus adhered to the sigmoid colon. A section of the colon was removed successfully. He was in the hospital until Jan. 11th. He also has mild emphysema Was sent home with oxygen. Hopefully he will be off oxygen in a few weeks. One thing I noticed is he sleeps a lot. Is this normal? Anyone had a similar experience??
