constipationHi Everyone
I am writing to see if anybody has experienced the same problems as my husband. He had a colon resection 18months ago and now the last few months he has been plagued with noisy gas which he cannot expel and chronic constipation which is only relieved by enemas.
Re: constipationI too have this problem. I had a colon resectioning done in Jan. of 07. Since my surgery my bowels do not move on their own. I went back to my first doctor and he did a stretching procedure on me. He said that the surgeon sewed me up to small so nothing could pass unless it was liquid. This procedure worked for about a month then back to not being able to go with out help. I have taken everything known to man, watch my diet, added water, and more water, exercise. Nothing. I am officially not normal know. I have found some pills that I take every night or every other night. I take the max. dose. I think eventually my body will get use to them too. I thought this was a problem (don't get me wrong it is a problem) but I see on this site all of these people that are the opposite of me and can't quit going. They can't even leave the house. I can at least deal with mine for now that is.
Re: constipationHi Mollymarie,Thanks for answering sorry to hear that you have the same problems as Ray. I was wondering if you would mind telling me the name of the tablets you are taking. I think Ray's problem is that his colon gets lazy and forgets to do it's job. He has had a stomach xray and there is no blockage just chronic constipation.Look forward to hearing from you.
Re: constipationI do not mind at all. They are called DocQlax. I get them for about $4.00 for a bottle of 100. They contain a stimulant laxative and a stool softner laxative. I take four of them every night or every other night. The next day I go. But it is not like you have to run to the bathroom type. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
