dietary questions

Post a new topicby thirlwell on Mon Jan 05, 2009 5:08 pm

Just spoke with my doctor.Had my ostomy 10 years ago.Managing fine with codeine and single meals, but at 47 my doc says I have to cut out the codeine and add fibre to my diet.my concern is that my stool is going to change too much for me to work, live, function like a normal human being.i empty once a day, work a public job. Can't be running to the loo to empty, and the bag is at my waist.
Lookin for some great dietary advice to make the transition to codeine-free easier.

Thanks
