fistulotomy tomorrow

Post a new topicby MARKCOCCIA on Mon Nov 03, 2008 3:27 pm

My 28 year old son is having a fistulotomy tomorrow. I would like to know what percentage risk there is in having fecal incontinence. His fistula is low and the procedure will pass through the lowest part of his muscle and is this the only way. It seems too risky for a 28 year old. thank you

U You should direct that question to a Dr. My surgery went fine. The fistula came back after 3 months. I had a second surgery. Now, everything is fine...
