Re: god give me strength!!Hi Janet...I am Karen from Sydney Australia, and I am at day 20. I have had the same op as you. You haven't got much longer to wait now as it takes a good two weeks to heal. I started eating normally again in the second week but just not large portions. My advice to you is keep up the meds, fibre and laxative for another week, have hots basin soaks after each movement to keep clean and try and stay on that lounge for as much as the next week as you can. The longer the rest the faster the recovery was my advice from other forums pre-op and they were right. One lady said just to lay on your side as much as you can for two weeks, it lets the blood flow and speeds up healing.
I am living normally again at day 20 and feel grateful to have it all "behind" me. No more urgency, and complete wind control! I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are pain free and back to great health very soon. You have been brave!
Re: god give me strength!!thanks Karen...feeling alot better at day 20! still pressure, but am overall much happier than last week..how are you?? I'm just wondering, when is sex a good idea? we tried last week, but I spent the next day on the couch being a total B****. (guess i wasn't ready yet?)
