Is this normal?

I am a 43 year female. I had a stage four thrombosed roids that sent me to the ER. The largest (about the size of the end of my thumb)of the two was evacuated, supposedly the other was “okay”. The next day, it too became thrombosed. A week later, 8/8/08, I had a hemorrhoidectomy. I was under general anesthesia and have no idea what type of surgery it was.

Ok, sorry it took so long to get back to you....I had my surgery 20 days ago....the "bowling ball" sensation is still there for me too.....it comes and goes.....laying on your side helps. if it's too much take 1 percocet at night (or whatever) they gave you for pain. Just remember percocet does tend to constipate which makes that sensation even worse. are you still on stool softeners and fiber supplements??? they do help. Percocet also made me forget my stupid username, that's why it took me a few days to get back into this forum......good luck, hope you feel better, it will get better but don't try to rush it.....jd
