I had my surgery about 4 days ago. I have hemmroids [hemorrhoids] for about 15 years now and they became worse after the birth of my second child. I was apprehensive at first about the surgery because of the side affects and so forth but to be honest, besides the pain it wasn’t that bad. My surgery only lasted about an hour and I was sent home on a high fiber diet, pain medication and instructions on taking as many warm baths as possible.

Hi, how are you doing? Your surgery was 5 days before mine, do you still have as much pain? I've been able to go to the bathroom, but I have a lot of swelling, which seems to be causing most of the pain.
After suffering with hemorrhoids most of my adult life, I guess a few weeks is worth it if they dont come back.
Let me know how things are going, having reading some horror stories online, I was glad to read your posting.

please tell me how you are feeling now? any additional post op issues? i'm scheduled for a 3 quadrants internal/external ectomy in two weeks and i am scare to death....i am consumed with worry. please let me know how you are doint? thank you
