Hemorrhoidectomy

Has anyone had this procedure or know someone who had it? From what I understand it replaces major hemorrhoidectomy with fewer complications and quicker recovery time. I just had mine a couple days ago. I felt fine first day post-op just taking Toradol and 1/2 of a Vicodin. Second day I just want to sleep. Had first tiny bm which felt like a new hole was being ripped. 2nd one was same feeling. Quite a bit of straining and some bleeding. Then feels like razor sharp pulses in my rectum.
Sitz bath feel fine, but is so uncomfortable sitting there for more than a minute or so. Ice pack feels better to me. Started metamucil yesterday and not eating as well as I should. Like I said....just want to sleep today. Would love to hear from anyone having this procedure. (H.A.L.) and will most definitely keep updating as I progress. Have heard that some people go back to work next day....I dont think I am going to work after 2 days....wil take Monday for more rest.
The fire in the hole is the main complaint. No other pain.
