I had a hernia repair this past Fall. The hernia repair from HELL. The mesh was Stratus mesh (pig product which is considered to be highly resistant to infection), I got a staph infection, which deteriorated the mesh. After more than 6 months off work because of this serious situation which involved me admitted to the hospital 3 times, countless visits to my doctor, and finally, the doctor did a surgery to open up my abdomin to clean out the infection, I am feeling the best in 2 years.
