Endometriosis and Hysterectomy

Post a new topicby LisarTracy on Sun Jun 14, 2009 12:39 pm

I just turned 40 in May of 2009. Twenty years ago I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and Ovarian Cysts. I have had four laparoscopies, tried two or three different injections and several different kinds of birth control pills and to no avail it still comes back. I am going to have a radical hysterectomy the week after labor day this year. Labor day seems like a long time away but after dealing with it for twenty years, it will be here before we know it. I wanted to make my time off convenient for work and there are two people at work who are taking six weeks off also. One is having the same thing as me and the other is having a baby. This gives me time to set some goals like exercising, saving money and accumulating more time for sick leave. I will be excited to be able to live a "normal life" after surgery.
