Would anyone know anything about swelly belly its been 5 1/2 mths since TAH/and how long it takes for the feeling to come back in my right thigh.....its like pins and needles....curious if that feeling will go away ......and when does the sleep pattern go back to normal... I am on estragel......if anyone has any information would appreciate hearing about it..

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy on Nov 1 2006 and I still don't feel like I've "recovered" (am wondering if I'll ever be able to use that word again) I didn't have a Swelly Belly, I did keep ice packs on my lower ab by using ace bandages. I've seen the Swelly Belly's in the Pharmacies at my clinic. I would recommend to everyone who has an abdom. hyster. to use one, and use it religiously. Not sure about the tingling in your leg, if it were me, I'd call the Dr's office and speak to the nurse about this issue and ask if it's something that you need to be seen for. I have found the nurses to be quite informative, sometimes more than the doctors, give it a try. Hope you have a quicker recovery than I've had.
