There seem to be many stories of fundoplications that have not gone well. Does anyone think they have an answer or alternative to the surgery that might work? I'm new to the idea and I am hoping that surgery will not be suggested, but after trying several different meds, I am not able to control my symptoms very well. The poorly controlled symptoms are affecting most parts of my daily life, home and work. I need my voice to teach and I am constantly hoarse with a hacking cough that irritates everyone around me.
