MiserableI had a Laparascopic Nissen Fundoplication 10 years ago, and have had chronic problems ever since. While the surgery did help my reflux, I have had severe bloating, belching, gas, and pain in the surgery area. In the past three months I have had increasing pain and trapped air problems. I can’t get a doctor to find out what is wrong and I am absolutely miserable. I wish I never had the surgery. I don’t know what to do.

Re: MiserableMy daughter who is 8 years old and has cerebral palsy had the surgery done in January of this year. She did great the first month, but has been screaming for most nights (all night) since the surgery. She can't talk but I believe it is gas as well. We have tried to explain to the doctors but they just don't get it. Like you, we wish we had never had the surgery done either. But now what do we do? I have read that the surgery can't be "undone".
