My Nissen

I had a Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication done 3-4 years ago. I had some complications (internal bleeding) which made my recovery a little longer.
The past year I’ve ben having major problems again, especially wtih asthma My pulmonologist has reordered lots of testing wtih both a Digestive specialist and a sinus specialist. I also had the same surgery in Sept. 2006..no problems as far as I know when the surgery was performed except that I was detained in the recovery room for an additional 5hrs longer than "normal"
Immediately after the surgery I lost 23lbs..and have still not put any weight back on.
Other problem is the huge amount of gas I pass now...totally embarrasing..
If I had known of these particular problems I wouldn't have had the surgery as the pills I had kept the gerd in control...

What pills were you talking that kept your gerd in control? What made you decide to go ahead with the procedure?
