Nissen Fundoplication

Could anyone share their experience with anesthesia after fundo surgery? Do the anti-nausea meds solve the problem?
Also...what is the general experience regarding progression of eating after surgery? How long on clear liquids? I know it's variable, but I was just interested in what you experienced.
I'm having the surgery next Friday (2/27), and am trying to prepare myself. I'm hoping my asthma is good enough to go forward. It's a paradox--the main reason I'm having the surgery is for my asthma, and my asthma may keep me from having it!
