Nissen fundoplication

Post a new topicby baylife76 on Mon Sep 14, 2009 9:37 pm

I am new to this forum, so please bear with me. Eight years ago I had nissen fundoplication wrap done. At the time I had been sick since the age of 15. Any way things have gone great all this time. Now I have the sick feeling the nausea etc.. I am on domperdione a drug from canada. the same as regaln with out the sleeping and foggy feeling, also aphex and caferate. I only started using these againe about 2 months ago. Went to the dr he did the procude where they go down the throat. Now he says it looks the wrap has come a little loose and i might have a herina. I will be having a Bravo done at the end of the month to see where the acid is coming from and how much. The bravo is the small capsule they attach to the lower part by the stomach, so they can record what is going on and i press the pager i wear when i have a pain or a sick feeling keep a diary and then in 48 hrs i take the pager back and the capsule elimates itself after that. Now with all that said and done. I was wondering has anyone had a wrap come loose and what did they have done. Another surgery to tigthen it??? Please let me know any feed back that you might have Thanks
