Spasms after Nissen

Post a new topicby Nashville93 on Wed Dec 03, 2008 1:52 pm

Prior to the Nissen surgery I had in June, I had problems with what felt like spasms of my esophagus. I would usually feel somewhat bad and light headed afterwards and then begin to feel slightly hungry.
It seemed to be highly related to laying down and drinking wine. This has continued after the surgery. After a spasm I will belch, and begin feeling better and then hungry again. I have had a bad spell starting Sunday after Thanksgiving. I can feel it in my pulse when this happens if the spasm is strong enough. I have heard about spastic stomach. Has anyone heard of this? My heartburn has disappeared since the surgery.

Thanks
Ben
