Sphincterotomy success

On March 4th I had a sphincterotomy and fissurectomy to heal an anal fissure that has been giving me trouble for the past 6 months or more. The anal fissure (at one point)would heal and then come right back then heal once again. I have been on this roller coaster ride concerning this anal fissure. Finally decided to have the surgery.

I was wondering if the pain while having a bowel movement during the week after surgery was worse than the pain you had when having a bowel movement while you had the fissure before surgery

Hi, it's good to read about someone else going through the same as me. A couple months down the line, how are you feeling? Have you been using stool softeners such as DulcoEase?
