Sphincterotomy

I had a sphincterotomy about 15 months ago and have been feeling ok until recently. I have a bout with diaherra and since then the burning and aching I experienced after surgery has returned. don't know if the muscle was strained or what. Has anyone had this experience?

My daughter has not felt total relief since her sphincter was cut about a month ago. She now has a bacterial infection, but ER + doc does not know why--blood tests, etc show nothing wrong. Anyway, she was told that she may have to return for another spincterotomy in the future--some have to and some don't.
