Best method for detecting compressionI had sciatic episode in 1993 and had an MRI which showed only bulging disks. They told me I only had a lumbar strain.
Finally, after all these years of pain and suffering, a neurologist did an EMG and said I have SI compression. What is the best way to see what is being compressed? An MRI didn't do it, but the neurologist suggested an MRI I don't think I could stand another 8 years of being told it's all in my head. Also, I was dx'd in 1990 with bladder dysnergia. Could this be related?
Re: Best method for detecting compressionAn MRI would be a good test to do, and especially since there is some evidence of possible neuro-urological abnormalities of hte bladder, MRI studies to include thet spinal cord at higher levels may be necessary.
