Low back painI had an EMG to find out why my back, legs and feet hurt, the EMG was normal and the Neurologist said it was probably compression, and that I needed an MRI. This is a longstanding problem, and I have already had an MRI of my spine in 1993 which showed nothing. My OB GYN says it is a vascular problem. I really don't even know what that means.
I have had no injuries and am assuming that it's due to several pelvic surgeries and/or adhesions. My question is, what tests could help identify if there's a pelvic nerve injury, compression or a vascular problem in my pelvic/spinal area. Have you ever heard of adhesions compressing a nerve? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Re: Low back painThe plexus or group of nerves in the pelvis or abdominal region can be compressed from scar tissue or other phenomena; often EMG will show the abnormality. The MRI of the spine was done so long ago that it may pay to repeat it. Vascular problems may suggest disease of the blood vessels in your legs; you should discuss this possibility with your medical doctor. Good luck.
