lump on spine

I have had 3 spinal fusions the last very sucessful however ,last year a pea size hard lump appeared on my spine my GP at the time said it was nothing to worry about this lump has gron to the size of a 50pence peice and is very painful. I have no confidence in my GP and unsure what to do. any suggestions welcome.

Although a small mass on the skin may be many different things, you might want to start by seeing the neurosurgeon that operated on you. The lump can be palpated, and certain characteristics will determine what kinds of tests should be done.
