Dear Doctors

I am a 40 year old, fit and healthy male.

I have a constant discomfort in my back which is not always painful. I have recently had a strange feeling or lack of feeling in my genital area. My lower abdomen and penis had no feeling or felt numb. When I urinate it does not have any force and I cant seem to have a bowel movement even when it is right there.

Coud I possibly have an old back injury that has progressed to the point that it is causing these lack of sensations and weak urinating muscles.

It is possible that there is some connection to your back problem, but I would suggest a full urological evaluation and then seeing a neurologist if there is not any other explanation for your problems.
