i am in a lot of pain .i had 3back surgeries the las 2 i had one doctor to put asteel plate rods screws and i wore a cast for 6 months. the last doctor took all that out and put a lot of other rods and plates in the lower back he had to cut through my stomach to get to all my trouble. i am diabetic and have tingling in my feet toes hands and arm. i have serve neurophy burnig pain. i take vitiam b12 injections. my back is described as severe stenosis. my shoulder is very painful and it has started down my shoulder hand feels numb and hurt.my doctor says i have a lot of pain from sciat icnerve. my quastion is i can hardly walk will i get worse with time? i take oxycotin 40 2 times aday and vicodin in betwen .i am still in pain. is there any thing else that can be done for me? thank you ann woolard

Your doctor would best be able to determine your future prognosis, as I do not hvae a detailed history of your problems. It sounds like your symptoms may be multifactorial (diabets, multiple back surgeries etc). Other medications for chronic pain may be tried (Neurontin, Amitriptyline, Topamax, Ultram etc). Good luck.
