Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Dec 12, 2001 9:34 pm

I was in a accident at work, a machine
fell on me, I fractured 2 lower lumbars, they body casted me for 3 months, physcial therpy still after 6 months. I have serveral pain in my lower back, if i do alot of walking or sitting in one postion in kills me.
my back has gone out 4 times and put me in the bed for 4 days straight. they have done 2 mri and said the fratures are healed. i went to a neulolgist and he did a emg, and stated to me that i had serve nerve damage. and set me up for a epidual steroid injection, in two weeks, i went back to my orthepedic doctor and he claims no damage, just irration, my question is what is it? and what will be my recovery, for the pain.

It really sounds as if you had a significant injury and have been through a great deal. The neurologist and the orthopedist should consult together and try to give you a clear answer as to what your present and future problems might be.
