Unexplained hives could mean a malignancy?

Post a new topicby TLouise on Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:43 pm

I am a person of general good health. Recently had a bout with hives that lasted more than a week. After one month I still get the itchies. My Physician hooked me up with an Allergist He done the standard testing for allergies and found nothing of concern. He did mention that unexplained hives is a sign of a malignancy somewhere in the body, if the hives and itchiness continue for the next 3 months, I should have blood tests (more) to test for cancer. Has anyone out there ever heard this or experienced this problem that proved malignancy?
